architecture, art and design projects, as well as research projects that involve science, engi-
neering and industry, touchy-feely investigates how the built environment can offer human
bodies more heightened sensory experiences, or "sensory conversations." the work of touchy-
feely responds to the disembodiment that characterizes so much of how we work and live,
and aims to create moments where we are jolted into remembering that we are bodies.
using humour, an experimental approach to materials, and an interest in incidental design,
touchy-feely aims to provoke curiousity in, and more physical interaction with, the built
environment.photo: © wolfgang von gliszczynski, 2008
